After a while, the mortar between the bricks in all brickwork starts to show signs of wear and tear. It's just what happens from being exposed to the elements over a long period of time.
This is often the case on walls that are exposed to elements as well as your chimneys, of course.
Repointing is a process whereby the original mortar is removed and replacement mortar is placed between each brick. This could also be the replacement of ridge tiles and the sides of valleys. This should be something that you take into consideration if you want to keep your brickwork watertight and warm.
Our team at Allied Maintenance can come along and take a look at what needs doing, give you a quotation and carry the work out on your property.
When gaining access to high parts of your property, Allied Maintenance will always use the most cost effective form of access as possible. We don't want you unnecessarily spending money that you don't need to.
Here at Allied Maintenance, we always want to make things transparent and fair for you. So once we have come to see you, accessed the problem areas and assessed the work involved, we will give you a written estimate including what needs doing and the associated cost.
If you want to go ahead with the work, we will organise the scaffolding and the materials to the site. Then when the work is complete and to your satisfaction, we will invoice for payment on the day of completion for immediate payment.
